PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) Mauritius NextGenFactor 2017

The grand Final was held at Hennessy Park Hotel on Monday 06 November 2017

The catch was good for the second fishing expedition for talent. This year, out of the 106 teams that registered, team Cracker Jacks from the African Leadership College made its mark and won the Rs 200,000 cash prize and internship.

Open to students studying full-time towards a recognised undergraduate degree or professional qualification in Mauritius, and to Mauritians studying abroad, the competition’s goal was to discover fresh talent.

Participants were required to work in teams of 4 to 5 max to review a business case revolving around Integrated Reporting.

The game plan was:

Diversity in opinions and skill sets will be key

Bring on board 4-5 super talented, and creative students from various faculties and pull together your A-team. Together, you will review a real-world business scenario focusing on strategic issues facing companies today including, but not limited to, financials, tax, risk, governance and technology. You will be expected to develop a solution in the form of a report. If your project is shortlisted, you will then present it to a panel of PwC professionals.
