Purpose
Provide guidance and support to clients to maximise systems’ and projects’ efficiency within agreed timeframe.
Key Responsibilities & Dimensions
  • Provide IT Service Support to customers by interacting with them by phone or through IT systems and perform technical diagnosis, update and resolve issues logged;
  • Analyse and solve technical, system and production issues and document bugs resolutions / workarounds, update technical documentations and test scripts;
  • Provide system performance assessment and recommendations to improve efficiency;
  • Execute recommendations following approval from the service provider;
  • Follow up with the Project Team for handing over of procedures and on new projects moved to production;
  • Master the full architecture implemented at ICPS and follow up on issues encountered;
  • Provide regular, concise and clear feedback on work progress to the Team Leader and other stakeholders;
  • Escalate promptly anticipated risks, schedule variances/delays, scope changes and potential issues/concerns for timely resolution;
  • Improve existing processes and/ or propose innovative methods/ to improve work efficiency.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years in Project management and/or in a customer facing environment for Support Level 2.

Technical Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2003/2008;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server/Oracle 10g or above;
  • Knowledge of  C++/C/UNIX.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to be On-Call after office hours and during weekends.

Purpose
Execute project activities to implement programs and projects to maximise their efficiency within agreed timeframe.
Key Responsibilities & Dimensions
  • Elaborate project documents and project schedule, identify key milestones for successful and timely completion of project activities and deliverables;
  • Analyse and solve technical and system issues and document bugs resolutions / workarounds, update technical documentations and test scripts on an ongoing basis;
  • Develop and maintain the relationship with customers through regular contacts (email/phone call/visits) to ensure that customer expectations are understood and met;
  • Provide training on technical and functional aspect for all modules and system to customers for better understanding/utilisation of the system;
  • Document each and every implementation and follow diagrams and written instructions with regards to projects assigned;
  • Handover projects to production team and provide support during the Go Live & Post Go Live phase;
  • Assist in the framing of architecture and development of projects;

By joining the team as Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supervising highly dedicated specialists responsible for the clearing and settlement of trades and the processing of corporate actions for local and international instruments.

Key Responsibilities & Dimensions
  • Manage the section under responsibility by planning, developing and implementing strategies so as to be in line with the overall BU and MCB strategy;
  • Drive improvements in business processes within section under responsibility and ensure optimal resource utilisation;
  • Ensure that the section’s activities are fully compliant in terms of all relevant laws, rules, regulations, procedures and standards of best working practice;
  • Lead and build the team by empowering, monitoring & managing performance in order to maximise existing talents and develop new capabilities.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Completed a Degree in Banking / Finance or any related field, preferably a Masters;
  • Completed a minimum of 8 years’ working experience within the securities services industry, inclusive of at least:

i)    2 years’ experience leading and managing a team

ii)    2 years’ experience working with operational processes, including clearing and settlement and/ or corporate actions

  • A good knowledge of Rules and Regulations specific to the Mauritian Securities Services industry, would be an advantage.
  • A good knowledge of the settlement process for equity and fixed income securities.
  • A good knowledge of the settlement process for Derivatives, Futures and Options would be an advantage.
