Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Trainee Project Assistant (Full‐Time), to work on the research project entitled: “Characteristic and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Mauritius: A cross‐sectional study using an observational
approach to profile outlet, use, sale, distribution, regulation, and importation” for a contractual period of six months.

Qualifications required
 A degree in and/or a postgraduate degree in Biology, Nutritional Sciences, Pharmacy,
Pharmacology, Natural products, Medical sciences or any related life or health sciences fields.

Profile of candidates
 Research skills for quantitative and qualitative research
 Oral and written communication skills
 Interpersonal skills for field work

Responsibilities & duties
 Carry out extensive literature review
 Perform data collection from different regions in Mauritius
 Perform data entry and complete data analysis in a timely manner
 Draft the reports and relevant manuscripts
 Complete any other cognate duties for timely completion of the research work.

A monthly all‐inclusive allowance Rs 13,000/‐, plus travelling expenses by bus.

Duration of Contract
Appointment will be offered for a contractual period of six months. The proposed starting date is  1 June 2018.
