1. Risk Analyst – Financial Market Middle Office

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Risk, the Risk Analyst will be responsible to provide risk oversight of the activities undertaken by the Financial Markets Division and ensure adherence to the Bank’s policies, procedures and prudential limits in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor risk exposures independently and ensure market risk positions on FX, Interest Rates, Commodities and Derivatives and other products of Financial Markets Division are within prudential limits
• Provide Daily Profit valuation of all Market Exposures of Financial Markets division
• Produce VaR on a daily basis and monitor the portfolio performance
• Monitor and report credit exposures and excesses
• Define key risk indicators and alert management to any potential operational risk issues or unusual events in Financial Markets operations
• Perform daily open position reconciliation and ensure that Financial Markets business performance is tracked and reported accurately
• Ensure critical controls relating to market risk management is in place and assist in raising awareness in Financial Markets Front and Back Office
• Keep up to date with global macro events across asset classes as well as understanding the effects of these events to explain market volatility and P/L
• Report on the developments of the Bank’s market and liquidity risk exposures and performance
• Coordinate regularly with Back Office, Finance and Performance Management Team on Treasury profits and other Treasury matters

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Strong analytic background with a Degree in a related quantitative field
• Proven professional experience in related fields such as treasury, risk management, finance and/or product control
• Expertise in controls, procedures and reporting, as well as knowledge of financial markets’ products
• Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to solve problems independently, be flexible and proactive

2. Head of SBM Fund Services Ltd

Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of the Non-Banking Financial Cluster (NBFC), the Head of SBM Fund Services Ltd will be tasked with the core responsibility of leading the fund accounting and registry services team in order to achieve the Group’s business objectives and expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage Fund Accounting Operations
• Oversee the valuation of different clients’ mandates – CIS, pension funds, discretionary mandates and institutional mandates
• Supervise the preparation of financial statements of funds in portfolio, in accordance with IFRS
• Review management accounts and tax returns prepared by Fund Accountants
• Manage registry, transfer agency, security agency and paying agency functions
• Provide assurance in delivery of trustee services
• Accountable for revenue and profitability growth
• Responsible for performance monitoring and reporting of the team
• Participate in Management forums and decision making in relations to the department
• Ensure adherence to policies & procedures, legal and ethical requirements, audit requirements and established risk guidelines
• Assist Internal and External Auditors in their work
• Manage and grow a talented team of professionals

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Fully qualified ACCA member or alternative accounting related professional qualification
• Relevant experience in a similar position within the Financial Services Sector will constitute a definite advantage
• Excellent knowledge of fund valuation and administration
• Exposure to global business activities
• Excellent analytical and technical skills
• Excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Strong strategy and business planning skills
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities
