Goddess Katyayani eliminates all the troubles and sufferings from the life of her devotees. The devotee feels a strong sense of enlightenment by worshipping her. The pooja of Mata Katyayani ,observed with devotion and faith, leads to the attainment of Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.
She is equivalent to the fierce forms of Maa Shakti or Maa Durga, a Warrior goddess, which also includes Bhadrakali and Chandika in Shaktism. Devi Katyayani got her name after being born to the Sage Katyayan. She is associated with red colour and devotees must offer her red flowers especially hibiscus or roses during Navratri festival.

Goddess Katyayani is worshipped with the chant of following Mantra :

“या देवी सर्वभू‍तेषु माँ कात्यायनी रूपेण संस्थिता।

नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नम।।”
