The Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation (MSDTF) wishes all our sisters and brothers a very pious Ganga Snan.
As per our shastras Ganga Snan is celebrated on karthik purnima 15th day of October November of the Hindu calendar
Ganga snan gives everyone the opportunity to perform religious ceremonies to worship God to purify oneself with sacred water in order to purify once body mind and soul.
On this auspicious and pious occasion please:
- perform prayers rituals at the seaside Ganga talao riverbanks
- keep our beaches Ganga talao riverbanks clean and neat
- abstain from tamsic food non veg and alcoholic drinks
- refrain from distorting the purity of Ganga Snan
- help our beaches free from hawkers
Our simple practices will surely promote and enhance the piousness of Ganga snan
Due to the increasing number of positive cases in the local community we are humbly requesting all our devotees to do the worship and rituals and to return home as soon as possible in order to be safe.
