Synopsis
In the late 1970s, Barry Seal, a TWA pilot, was recruited by CIA agent Monty Schafer. The latter asked him to make reconnaissance flights over Nicaragua aboard a small twin-engine equipped with cameras. Barry Seal agrees, a little by patriotism, much more for the big envelope full of greenbacks he receives as “compensation” for each flight. Some time later, the same agent Schafer asks Seal to serve this time as mail between the CIA and the general Noriega, dictator of Panama. Seal agrees, again for the same reasons. And, he also accepts when the Medellin Cartel asks him to introduce cocaine into Louisiana; but this time patriotism has nothing to do with it. Of course, Barry Seal ends up being actively wanted by the FBI and the DEA, but the CIA covers it. Then, the pilot finds himself carrying weapons to the Contras based in Honduras. And, discovering that the latter are much more interested in business than in the counter-revolution, he decides to use the goods to set up his own business. It is from this moment that his real troubles begin …

Drama
Duration: 1h45min
Visa: U, Universal. For all ages
Actors: Chris Evans, Mckenna Grace, Jenny Slate, Lindsay Duncan, Octavia Spencer
Director: Mark Webb
Synopsis
Frank lives in a small town near Tampa Florida and earns his living by repairing boats. Before that, he was a university professor before deciding to change his life when his sister Diane, a brilliant mathematician, committed suicide. It is to him that returned the guard and the tutelage of Mary, the daughter of the deceased. Today, seven years old, the child shows a keen intelligence. She also collected Fred, a one-eyed cat and befriended Roberta, the neighbor who is in her forties. On her first day at school, Mary demonstrates a remarkable talent for mathematics; which does not fail to impress his teacher. And a few weeks later, Mary is offered a place in a gifted school. But, Frank refuses this offer. First, because like his missing sister, he had a bad experience of this kind of institution, then because his sister wanted her daughter to have a “normal childhood” and then because Mary is very happy in her school. Evelyn, Frank’s mother and Mary’s grandmother, does not hear him that way. Intervening with the authorities, she manages to force Frank to accept a compromise which she herself does not intend to respect the terms …
