This year’s edition has already started since 19th Sept and will last till 22 Sept. 2019 at SVICC Pailles. Innovtech 2019 is organised by the National Computer Board under the aegis of the Ministry of Technology, Communication and Innovation.

400 college and university students were at the Youth Forum as from 10:30 to hear experts talking about the Jobs of the Future, Career Choices in the Modern World, the Post-Digital Era and Creating a Culture of Innovation. Our country, Mauritius, needs its smart young people.

For the first time, a round table discussion will be organised during the conference. The idea of organizing the round table will be to collect important information from startups, like for example the hassles that they face to be able to survive in the market. On the other hand, panelists and Governmental representatives will provide valuable inputs on how to address the issues faced by startups. Finally, a recommendation report with concrete action lines for a better ecosystem for startups will be submitted to Government.

As usual, there will be a gaming area and coding area:

The Gaming Arena, as was the case for previous editions, proved very popular among the younger visitors. For this year, eSports and Red Bull will set up a LAN Gaming on the game League of Legends which is a multiplayer online battle arena video game. Moreover, FunZone in collaboration with the NCB, will have flight and racing car simulator as well as a unique VR Gaming concept for visitors to play for free
