NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME (NAP)
The National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP) is a mode of pre-employment training, which combines Work-Based Learning in enterprises with technical knowledge taught in MITD training centres to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours required of a trade. It aims at providing apprentices with a recognized qualification that eases their way to the world of work.
SALIENT FEATURES OF NAP
- Attractive Stipend: Rs 5,000 + Rs 1,000 (transport) monthly.
- NO tuition fees
- Real work experience under supervision.
- Generally 80% of learning takes place in enterprises and 20% in MITD centres
