Recently came to my attention, the series “Sex Education” on Netflix.com, released on 11 Jan 2019. Well this caught my attention and had a quick look at the first episodes. Here is the main story line:

The Lead role is about a normal and confused 16 year old but with a gift, to calm and guide those who seek his help in finding the answer to any slight imperfections they may have with themselves or with their partner.

The Show "Sex Education" is a blend of comedy, love and drama. It’s not only about sex either. it’s about finding confidence, self-appreciation, overcoming obstacles, and finding love. there are so many fantastic characters with their own personality who all have their own way of dealing with all sorts of things. It's ahead of its time in some ways, like the relationship dynamics between mother/son, father/gay son, two moms/straight son
Otis and Maeve in Sex Education Class – Learning to Use a ‘Condom’
The series identified and very ably dealt with a number of sexual and other situations which confront teenagers - particularly those at secondary/university levels.
Sex and Relationship Education
"Sex Education" series highlights real world issues such as abortion/pro lifers, LBGT, anxiety, bullying, homophobia. Almost ALL teenagers will enjoy and relate to this show.
There is discussion about general sex problems in a light-hearted & cheerful tone, which is usually a embarrassing topic in general public conversation
Biology Teacher

Personally, it makes me remember my Biology Teacher when we had to do the chapter on “Reproduction”. My teacher at that time was ‘shy’ when that day had come and told us to read the chapter by ourself. Then there were some books about sex education featuring ‘titeuf’. In Sex Education, parents have an important role to play:

The most important thing is to talk to teenagers about relationships, love and the implications of sexual intercourse. Teenagers are confused and are going through a tough period of change during adolescence. In Schools, Sex education programme should in no way be a course on human anatomy or basic technical aspects. Children need to be given the right information about their bodies, about relationships, the feelings involved and the consequences a sexual relationship will have for them.

Children must become knowledgable and be given the tools to protect themselves. Most pregnancies concern girls between 15 and 19 years old, abortion is becoming a method of contraception in many cases and that the prevalence of Aids continues to rise.

Parents are all faced with questions from their children sooner or later on sexuality. But parents are not the only ones who can and should answer these questions. School also has an important role in educating the child.
